The Adult Services Program at UCPRI is currently hiring part-time Direct Service Professionals (DSP). The DSP plays a vital part in our agency mission. As a front-line staff person, you will be responsible for assisting the person to meet their individual needs and goals.
Direct Support Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist clients with their activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, medication administration, housekeeping, and preparing and/or serving meals
Develop and assist with relationships within the community to establish social connections, community connections, and relationships
Ensure that the clients are receiving proper care by adhering to their individual plan of care
Assist with general health
Maintain a safe environment
Assist in developing and carrying out goals
Provide transportation as necessary
Follow UCPRI policies and procedures
Maintain certifications and trainings
Complete mandatory paperwork as required
Direct Support Professional requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma/GED
A valid driver's license with an acceptable record
Reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance
Must pass background check
Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language
All Direct Support Professionals will receive training on UCPRI medical policies and procedures as well as CPR and first aid training.

United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island (UCPRI) has an opportunity for you to positively impact a child’s life by helping them learn, grow, and achieve their potential.
We are seeking kindhearted, reliable individuals to work in our Home-Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) program as Behavior Specialists. Behavior Specialists support children with disabilities, working 1:1 with the child in their home and community.
Shifts begin after school hours, between 2:30-4:30pm and are typically 3-4 hours long.
Behavior Specialist responsibilities:
Implement the service plan developed by the clinical supervisor
Engage in community-based activities with the child such as trips to local playgrounds, libraries, or grocery stores
Coach child in safety and social skill development
Aid with self-help and self-care activities and personal hygiene routines
Duties will vary based upon needs of the child but may include engaging in activities such as play therapy and movement games to work on fine and gross motor skills and achieve growth goals
Provide guidance and redirection for clients with disabilities
Write organized daily communication logs
Record daily data collection to the client's daily goals/tasks written in the service plan
Communicate progress and/or status with the Clinical Supervisor and Treatment Coordinator
Behavior Specialist requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma/GED
A valid driver's license with an acceptable record
Reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance
Must pass background check
Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language
All Behavior Specialists will receive CPR and first aid training.

UCPRI is seeking to employ a Treatment Coordinator for our children’s home-based therapeutic services (HBTS) programs in the South County, RI area. Our HBTS programs are home and community-based programs that assist and support the family/client with a behavioral plan and individual goals. The Treatment Coordinator’s tasks include processing payroll for staff and collecting data for the Clinical Supervisors, helping to train support staff to work directly with clients (activities of daily living), safety awareness, and participating in social interactions.
Position will require 2-3 days per week in our office in Pawtucket. A flexible schedule is required in accordance with clients' needs. Shifts may vary daily ranging from 9:00am-5:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm depending on the schedule.
Treatment Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Complete intake with families. Gather information and evaluations to facilitate HBTS application, authorization, and renewal.
Coordinate services and communicate with families/other service providers to maintain lines of communication and ensure consistent goals across programs.
Administrative duties as assigned, including but not limited to scheduling staff, administrative supervision of staff, coordinating staff training/meetings, training on data collection.
Gather and collate child specific data and provide information to the clinical team. Create data sheets/staff materials under the clinical supervisor's direction.
Ensure that all documentation and forms are complete, accurate and timely. Organize, disseminate and update documentation relating to the child's plan, including an in-home folder.
Provide direct support to a caseload of clients.
Complete file audits regularly and updates as needed.
Complete all visual supports needed for support of treatment plan.
Attend supervision as scheduled, attend team meetings as assigned.
Treatment Coordinator requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
A valid driver's license
Reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance
Must be able to pass background check
Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Two (2) years’ experience working with children. HBTS experience a plus.
